Kichi Saga Lake - This region was known by the natives as Kichi Saga prior to the settlers arriving in the 1850's. The name Chisago comes from this word.
Lindberg Lake - Karl Lindberg farmed his whole life on the West side of the lake. The main penninsula of land on the lake is named Lindberg Point on the maps. Karl was a HUGE community activist including County Commissioner. This would be a great tribute to him and the Swedish heritage his name and this community came from.
Ojiketa Lake - This is the name of the Camp Fire Girls camp on the East side of the lake and obviously would also be appropriate. Ojiketa is an Ojibwa name meaning "Sweetness of Life"
